Finalists of the ANP Technological Innovation Award 2023 with the USIS project
In partnership with Repsol Sinopec Brasil, the USIS project was finalist of the ANP Innovation Award 2023 at the category "Underwater Technologies".
The project consists on an integration of a ROV with our USV Tupan, creating and autonomous system for subsea assets inspection.

We completed the Series A investment round worth R$10 million led by MSW CAPITAL, a "multicorporate" Venture Capital fund that brings together important companies such as Embraer, BB Seguros, Baterias Moura and AgeRio.

Winners of the DroneShow 2023
pitch competition
We won the annual pitch competition for companies in the robotics area, competing with some of the main companies in the area at a national level. DroneShow is the largest drone and robotics fair in Latin America and is held annually in São Paulo / SP.

Participation in the Rio Oil & Gas 2022 fair and article in the specialized publication "Petróleo Hoje"
In September 2022 we participated in Rio Oil & Gas, one of the largest fairs in the world in the oil and gas area. Our participation took place inside the Repsol Sinopec Brasil stand, where we performed a live demonstration of the robotic integration developed for the ARIEL project. The demonstrations had repercussions in the industry, prompting the publication of an article in the magazine Petróleo Hoje. TideWise's technological resources were the subject of an article in the specialized magazine "Marine Technology Reporter", which listed the company among others in the offshore asset protection sector using uncrewed vessels and associated integrations. "Friend of the Brazilian Navy" medal
In 2022, the CEO and co-founder of TideWise, Rafael Coelho, won the "Friend of the Brazilian Navy" Medal for the year 2021. The medal was created to award personalities and institutions that have distinguished themselves in the dissemination of the maritime mentality and contributions to the Brazil's navy. Among Rafael's main contributions to the Navy is his collaboration in the development of the first Provisional Regulation for the Operation of Autonomous Vessels, issued in 2020 by the DPC.

Unprecedented proof-of-concept operation in Belgium
Between May and June 2022, the TideWise team went to Belgium to carry out a proof-of-concept operation derived from the Elia Group Open Innovation Challenge 2021 Award, which consisted of inspecting infrastructure in an offshore wind complex using an uncrewed robotic system composed of a drone integrated with the USV Tupan. This operation was unprecedented worldwide, and represented a great advance for Brazilian technology in the field of unmanned systems. Another milestone achieved in this operation was that TideWise became the first Brazilian company operating autonomous vessels to operate outside Brazil and, in particular, in the North Sea.

ANP Technological Innovation Prize 2020
Project ARIEL, developed by TideWise in partnership with Repsol Sinopec Brasil and COPPE/UFRJ, was the winning project of the ANP Innovation award in 2020. The project consisted of the first successful integration between a USV and a drone to be demonstrated throughout the world, and aimed at developing an unmanned system for detecting and monitoring oil spills at sea. The project started shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic and was delivered without delay despite its complexity and high volume of deliverables. Learn more about the award by clicking here.

Winner of the Elia Group Open Innovation Challennge 2021
In August 2021, TideWise won the Open Innovation Challenge 2021, a technological challenge promoted by the Elia Group - one of the 5 largest electricity operators in Europe - which involved almost 80 proposals from companies around the world. TideWise's proposal consisted of adapting the unmanned system developed for the ARIEL project (USV+UAV) to perform inspection and monitoring services in offshore wind farms. Silver medal at
Brasil Design Award 2020
The USV Tupan, launched at sea in August 2020, won the Silver Medal at the Brasil Design Award. The USV competed with projects from companies such as Fiat and Renault, and achieved a prominent position in the awards. The BDA is an annual award that recognizes the main projects involving the design of products, services or visual communication.
