Elia Group Proof of Concept

In February 2022, TideWise, together with the Elia Group, conducted the first offshore wind farm inspection using an integrated USV + drone system. The operation in Belgium combined a drone with the Tupan USV. The system collected bathymetry data and performed visual inspections safely and with low environmental impact.

According to the Elia Group, the solution increases the frequency of inspections, reduces risks, and minimizes dependence on weather conditions for access to assets.
