Search and Rescue of the fishing vessel Funelli

In January 2026, in a joint operation with the Brazilian Navy, TideWise joined the search for the fishing vessel "Funelli" using the USV Tupan II, its uncrewed surface vehicle. Equipped with state-of-the-art multibeam echo sounders, the naval drone performed continuous, high-resolution underwater scans of the ocean floor, expanding the coverage area and generating crucial data for locating the vessel in hard-to-reach areas. Operating under strict operational command and in complete secrecy, the project provided precise information directly to Salvamar (the Brazilian Maritime Rescue Service), demonstrating the efficiency of autonomous technology in complex humanitarian missions.
