Integration of multibeam echo sounders, ADCPs, DVLs, LiDARs, among other sensors in our uncrewed vehicles

One of the services TideWise offers is data collection using LiDAR and Multibeam Echosounder sensors.

Bathymetry, which consists of measuring the depth of oceans, lakes and rivers, is essential for port access channel monitoring services, diagnosis of possible silting up, dredging forecast and planning, maintenance of port draft, beach widening, archaeological research underwater and other purposes.

We are the first company operating uncrewed vessels in Brazil to register with the CHM (Centro de Hidrografia da Marinha), and the first to obtain permission to carry out special order hydrographic surveys Category A. These surveys are carried out using technical specifications that allow the data obtained are used to update nautical documents.

The Multibeam consists of an acoustic probe used to generate charts, blueprints and digital models (2D and 3D) of the sea floor. LiDAR sensors, on the other hand, are used to detect and collect data through light beams above the waterline, mapping slopes, rockfills and channel walls, for example.

The USV Tupan can be integrated with a wide range of sensors according to customer specifications. This makes it possible to offer special order hydrographic services and support for coastal and ocean engineering works.

Our services:

Multibeam survey up to 150m water depth

Three-dimensional underwater mapping of the submarine bed, using sound beams, which measure depth, using a multibeam echo sounder, which can deliver raw or processed data and submitted to the CHM.

Seabed observation
up to 60m

Detection of submerged objects, through high-frequency acoustic pulses, using ROV with
side-scan sonars.

Wave measurements

Wave high speed and direction measurements.

Singlebeam survey up to 150m water depth

Mapping the profile of the submarine bed through a single sound beam, which measures depth, using monobeam sonar, and can deliver raw data and bathymetric report.

Current measurements (ADCP)

Measurement of current intensity and direction in the water column, using ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler), to study
current circulation.

Oil spill monitoring

Identification, using radars, drones and artificial intelligence, of potential oil leaks, and collecting samples for analysis.

Subbotton profile survey

Identification of layers of the marine subsoil using
low-frequency acoustic pulses.

Wind measurements

Wind speed and direction measurements.
